Story

Brighton marathon- April 9th - The ten pounds challenge....

Ok- Ten quid. Ten pounds. Ten spondoolies. (Or Ten of your greenbacks for those of you across the pond). That's all I want. £10 .It will buy you about 2 beers in Mayfair these days...or a large Pret a Manger lunch. I know we are all a bit Charitied out...but just a tenner? You know you can....

I do not have a target amount to raise. I have paid for my own place and don't "need" to raise a minimum. But every tenner will be much appreciated. Ideally, I have fifty friends/colleagues/admirers (you do not need to declare which category) who will dig into their hard earned cash. That, by my calculation, will raise a healthy "monkey" as they say in Cockney land. Whilst we are speaking cockney, do feel free to throw in a trio of ladies (Godiva=fiver) a score, pony or if the bonus season treated you really well, throw in a Rio!

The running so far...

So far this month, I have managed 28 runs, covering 113 miles and spent 17 hrs 30 mins and 32 seconds in a futile attempt to become fit. I will of course keep trying! I have forsaken the evil alcohol, reduced my chocolate intake by 3 kilos a week and so far lost 8 pounds in weight. The battle continues...

So, please...£10 or $10.

I will continue to post here and update you on the pain as I train...

Thanks all,

Keith
