Edale Tops Challenge · 15 June 2013

Dignity is a visionary Christian organisation. Our goal is to bring hope to rural Africa, both by spreading the good news of Jesus and by alleviating poverty. Our strategy is based on people, people who are desperately poor, people who the world may overlook, but who, with God, are amazing!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Join us on the 15th June as we walk the Edale Tops to raise money for two fantastic causes.

We are looking to get a team of walkers to walk the Edale Tops. The full walk is 34km with shorter variations available for anyone not wanting to do the full distance. Checkout details of the walks on our blog at http://edaletops700.blogspot.co.uk/

To date our team members include: Phil Stoker, Jacob Stoker,  John Hardy, Dennis Hardy, Kate Hardy, Charlotte, Rob Nettleton, Jan Nettleton, Jamie Chuckwoo Teewachai, Paul Bray, Lizzie Marks, Keith Nelson, Kate Nelson, Tom Nelson, Josh Nelson, Bethany Nelson, Luke Alsop, Josh Pearce, Andrew Foster, Jane Hardy.

As a team we'd like to raise £2,000 to be split between Dignity and New Life, Thailand.

Dignity ( www.dignityonline.org.uk ) is a Christian charity working to relieve poverty primarily in rural African villages. We work with local  churches to promote discipleship and to encourage local Christians to work together for the benefit of their communities.

New Life, Thailand is a group of thriving churches in Bangkok and Esarn. One of the most visionary pastors has been hit hard because his lovely wife has breast cancer, which is bad enough, but they end up having to pay for very expensive treatment because their insurance only covers diagnosis and tests. We are gutted for them and would like to show a token of support by raising enough for one treatment which is £1000. Dennis' own son had treatment free on the NHS and he will be walking to do his bit. Would you like to join us for Jiep in Bangkok ?

We are hoping to find 300 supporters to sponsor a share in a venture at £7 each - giving us a total of £2100. Please do feel free to donate more if you are able.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. All funds raised will then be split equally between the two causes. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
