Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Keith Abbott of Holbrook  - Memorial fund, raising money for the Somersham Ward Support Group at Ipswich Hospital.

Dad was admitted into Hospital in June and spent time on the Somersham Ward fighting an infection and then discharged home. He was then diagnosed to have Acute Myeloid Leukaemia and later had to be readmitted to Somersham Ward, this time with a further infection but unfortunately he faced a rapid deterioration of his health which he was unable to beat.

All the staff were wonderful and caring not just for Dad but supporting us his family as well. They really do a tremendous job and we are very grateful for such people being part of our NHS.  Dad expressed his appreciation to us on how well they had cared for him so feel that we as his family would set up this giving page so those that know Keith could also show appreciation to the Somersham Ward
