Story
Because it was overcast and threatening rain on Saturday, I set off on foot to visit 18 places of worship around Ipswich. One of these was a front room in a large house where Quakers meet where I stopped for a drink and biscuit. In contrast, the last one was a traditional medieval church that has been refurbished as a café and centre raising funds to support MIND. The walk home through a short light shower completed a 7 mile round trip.
After an hour's light lunch break, as the rain was holding off I continued my quest on the bike, visiting St Francis on the way to 7 other churches in the NW suburbs of Ipswich. After visiting a lovely small traditional church at Whitton, I returned home having covered another 10.5 miles. That long uphill slog on the A1214 is always a challenge!
Thank you all for supporting me on this year's Ride & Stride. Half of my sponsorship will go straight to our 'local' church, St Francis, depicted in Lego above.
Thanks for visiting my sponsorship site. Donations can still be made to the cause, should you wish.
Regards, Keith
