Story
After years of playing sport, the wear and tear took its toll and I seriously injured my back, this resulted in years of pain and in 2016 I had major surgery and 3 of my vertebrae was fused, with screws and rods in my lower back.
This has left me not taking part in as much sport as I used to resulting in the weight slowly sneaking up on me.
Over lockdown like most, I have buried my head in the sand and have continued to eat out of boredom and I have ballooned to over 18 stone.
My clothes don't fit, I feel horrible and just don't feel myself. I need to do something and this is it. I am not going to put this off any longer, it starts now.
I was inspired by a friend who broke both legs in a motorbike accident last year, who fought back to fitness only to be injured again. Recently he ran half a marathon before going to work for a 12 hr shift, if he can do that after overcoming so much bad luck, surely I can run/walk/limp/crawl 5km a day and hopefully lose a bit of weight in the process.
All your donations are going to the RAF Association, as I have numerous friends currently serving in the RAF.
I shall post a time and weight everyday and maybe a few videos, if anyone wants to join me on a run just ask.
Thank you
Keith
