Hey - Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I’m Kelly, and I am 33 years young. I am a mum of 1 to my beautiful daughter Stevie (the beauty in the picture with me) and we live with her daddy Jake. I am a project manager and I work for PlanetK2, and they are my second family. (More about them later) 

During the first covid lockdown I did start to run a little and got into it and I gradually worked myself up to 5K and a few 10k's. Then I fell pregnant with Stevie who is now 16months old (you don’t need to be good at math to work out it’s been awhile). I am no runner and the marathon is a bit different to the odd 5/10k so this is going to be a huge challenge for me mentally and physically and I have a long journey ahead of me to the finish line. 

If you know me you’ll know that if I say I am going to do something you bet I will do it and I am so excited that I am getting to run the marathon! These spaces are rare, and I know that I am very lucky to have this spot, so I am going to give this everything I have to make myself proud, my family proud and everyone at PlanetK2 & Cote proud. 

PlanetK2 are the performance people and I have access to these very clever people so really I have no excuse not to perform! We do really good stuff at PlanetK2 and that's how it has come about me running for Children on Edge. COTE envision a world in which every child thrives regardless of their geography, ethnicity, gender, or caste. ​Their mission to create conditions in which every marginalised child can flourish and thrive no matter where they live and irrespective of the challenging circumstances they face. They place children at the heart of everything they do by working hand-in-hand with local ​communities to restore hope, dignity, and justice; and to actively involve everyone in creating transformation.
