Stay Home and Read a Book Ball!

Kelly Eastman is raising money for Kitsap Regional Library Foundation

Community Campaign for a New Library in Silverdale · 30 December 2020

Help us raise funds for a new Library in Silverdale! Every gift makes a difference.

Story

Hey Friends & Fam! I'm hosting a fundraiser and this one goes out to all of my introverts! There's no event. There's no dress code. There's no ticket price. There's no awkward small talk. And no need to buy overpriced drinks or to be upsold on additional gifts/donations. It's pretty simple, really.

Stay home.

Read a good book.

Make a gift of any size.

That's it

Kitsap Regional Library has been a part of my own story since I was a child. Now it is very much a part of my story with my own children. As a single mom, the Library has been a place for me to utilize many free programs and services that have enriched our lives in many meaningful ways. Checking out Book Bundles on the Amazon Rainforest or Minecraft hacks to Lego Club after school, Summer Learning performance series and reading challenges, to checking out new DVDs to watch on long car rides, Kitsap Regional Library has been a cherished resource for my children and me.

A new library in Silverdale is underway- and the community has been called to raise $100,000 to match a gift from the Friends of the Silverdale Library. We are just over 30% of the way there, and we need more boots on the ground to realize the most state-of-the-art and fully developed campus possible. I believe that this resource, right in the heart of Central Kitsap, will benefit our entire community and am so grateful for any amount you're able to contribute to help me reach my goal.
