Hugs Childrens Cancer Charity

Kelly Heatley is raising money for Hugs childrens cancer charity

Strictly Hugs Dancing · 15 October 2022

Hugs will provide a unique place of respite for families with childhood cancer, care packs, food boxes and a platform to support those who need it most.

Story

Hugs Childrens Cancer Charity is a not for profit supporting families with the devastating diagnosis of childhood cancer by providing one to one support for parents, care packs for those in hospital, toys and vouchers, food boxes and hot meals to those most vulnerable or isolating and group events. We are also very proud to offer families a unique respite break in our home in Cornwall, somewhere to breath when the world of childhood cancer can be too much.

Next month I will be competing at the Strictly Hugs Dancing black tie ball at the Plymouth Pavilions in front of an audience of over 500 people. I have been training with my amazing dance partner Luke and our very talented dance teacher Kelly from Putting on the Ritz dance studio since January.

To say I am out of my comfort zone is an understatement and I totally underestimated how difficult this challenge for me (with 2 left feet) would be!

I’m hoping to raise as much money for this special charity as possible, so if any of my friends who can’t attend on the night would like to donate I’d be forever grateful. 💜🌟
