We are raising money for children to provide incredible life experiences

Story

I had the great privilege to be able to spend some time with Richard in the years around 1999-2002.  We met through a lovely bunch of rock climbers on a course in Brixton, London and went on to continue to climb with the group.  In this time we went on numerous trips and to many parties and gatherings and were also in a house share together around the time he met his beautiful partner, Kerrie with whom he later moved to Australia and had a daughter, Tayla.  I was lucky enough to get to know the man a bit.   A true gent and friend, kind, thoughtful and with a great love of life.  I,  with so many others were shocked and devastated to hear of his death in a motorbike accident last September.  This meet up and fundraiser I hope will be some way of remembering the light he brought.  It will be lovely to see old friends.    So sorry Richard is gone and our thoughts are with Kerrie, Tayla and all who loved him.

Bowles Rock's trust organise climbing activities for kids, many from disadvantages backgrounds.  Richard would be pleased money was going to a climbing charity to support kids' love of the sport, and  the challenge, connection and sense of achievement it brings.

Thanks for taking the time to visit the Brixton climbers JustGiving page.
