In Loving Memory of Lucinda Goosen-Hack

LLR - Bath Bikeathon · 16 September 2012 ·
Hi All!
I am taking part in The London Bikeathon on Sunday, 16th September where I will be completing a 56 mile route around London town and raising money for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research http://leukaemialymphomaresearch.org.uk/
I am doing this in memory of my beautiful sister, Lucinda who sadly lost her very difficult 2 year battle to melanoma on 1 March 2010 .
For the last 3 years I have been involved in Race for Life raising money for Cancer Research and felt this year that I wanted to reach out further for another charity all working towards the same cause.
Lucinda has taught me so much about bravery and has been my biggest inspiration! Through all her pain and suffering she continued to stay positive, upbeat and optimistic not only for herself but everyone around her! She had a wonderful gift of touching people with her kindness in such a special way, taking people in without question or judgement and always seeing the pure essence of each individual.
I have attached a photo of Lucinda and the day she competed in Race for Life, South Africa in 2009 when she was going through treatment. Regardless of her illness, her main concern was always helping other people and Cancer Research was something that was very close to her heart.
I know it is a crazy time at the moment as everyone seems to be getting involved in raising money for all different charities (which is just FAB!) but if you could reach deep in your pockets to help me reach my fund raising target it would mean so much! Any donation however big or small would be greatly appreciated!
Although our lives have changed forever, Lucinda has left a huge impact on everyone that has been lucky enough to have crossed her path. I am so blessed to have a sister that will always be remembered for her love, kindness, positive energy & love of life!
So much thanks for your support - Together we will beat cancer!
