Story
Over the last year I have met many children and families undergoing treatments for brain tumours and other cancers. All of which have many life threatening and long term debilitating side effects. It is heartbreaking that so many of those battles are lost. The children are so brave and always remain so positive throughout their treatment, no matter how bad they feel, and have inspired me to challenge myself physically and mentally to raise funds for a days research into brain tumour cure and treatments. Every £2,749 pays for a single day of research and more needs to be done.
I have chosen the Strathearn marathon in June and the Dramathon in October, both of which are brutal with a capital B. These marathons will be both mentally and physically challenging but, for me, will be nowhere near as challenging as the battles that these children and families face on a daily basis whilst fighting their battles. I would appreciate all of your support and assistance in helping achieve my goal to fund research into these devastating illnesses and contribute towards a cure and better treatments for brain tumours and related illnesses.
