2012 Gower Yomp · 9 June 2012

Teacher Aid supports a school for disadvantaged village children in Zambia. It was started in 2009 in the rural Copperbelt with 10 children and now has 380 children in 11 grades, growing to 13 grades. Class sizes are 25/30. Exam results are phenominal. Corruption nil. Future Job prospects are high.

Story

I am joining Maggie and Gareth on the sponsored walk of Gower on 9th June 2012 to raise funds for Teacher Aid, supporting orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia. They are just completing the building of a school from scratch in Chiziro, a village in NE Zambia, are currently feeding and educating 200 children in the Feeding Station  and hope that money from the 'Gower Yomp' will enable them to complete the building of the 3 classroom school block.
