Story

Our mission is to support the provision and creation of teaching facilities in India to give below poverty line children the chance of an education and a better future Our main objective is to provide small community education facilities to remote and rural areas around the India, along with continuing support for teachers. A typical project will be a two room building providing education for up to 100 children. The schools will be economical, constructed from local sustainable materials and easy to adapt to local climatic conditions. Marudyan UK was established by staff from the international architecture practice ADP, to support the work of the Calcutta Marudyan Society in India. As experts in education building design, our decision to support the Calcutta Marudyan Society (and set up a UK charity) was driven by our passionate belief in the importance of education for all and a desire to give a new purpose to the work we do.
