Huw was diagnosed with ASD at the end of last year. I think we'd known for some time that it was a possibility, and in a way the diagnosis was a relief. Autism can't be 'seen' so it can be difficult for others to understand it. I'm sure people look and think my son is simply being naughty when in reality he is trying to cope with situations unfolding around him.
Autism is a lifelong condition, affecting around 1 in 100 people, generally more men than women and regardless of their nationality, cultural, social or religious background.
The National Autistic Society provide support and information on anything you could want to know about Autism, and are a lifeline for many. Visit them at http://www.autism.org.uk
I am raising money for them to help raise awareness of Autism.
Thankyou for donating.
