Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decided that it was time to take up a challenge and that challenge should be the Great North Run, an event I've been saying for years i'd like to do.

I'm up for the sweat and the tears that come with it and I hope you'll be up for donating to Macmillan to support my efforts. Deal? I hope so. Please be generous friends!

My main motivation was to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity which has been there for my friends and their family.

Macmillan are so important in the lives of those touched by cancer x

Here are some of the things that money raised could do:

£100 could mean that the Macmillan Support Line would be able to help people affected by cancer claim £2,691 in the benefits they're entitled to.

£156 could run the Macmillan Support Line for an hour, providing an average of 13 people with essential information and support.

£350 could pay for a much-needed convalescent break for someone with cancer and their carer.

£918 could fund a Macmillan nurse for a working week.

£2,026 could fund a Macmillan rehabilitation support team for a week, providing a range of services, including physiotherapy and diet advice, to people with cancer.

Every donation will help - I appreciate every penny.

However large or small your support will really boost me to keep training and to go that extract mile.

To make it a little more interesting, for those of you who wish to sponsor me why don't you put a little wager on my finishing time?!

I will give £20 of my own money to whoever comes in the closest to my finishing time.

Thank you xxx
