BUNNIES GO OVER THE EDGE
I’ve heard of people taking part in a sponsored walk or men waxing their legs for charity, but a 469ft abseil down Guys Tower (one of the tallest abseiling buildings in England) in a bunnies outfit is a new one for me...
Yes, your mind is correct, not only am I going to drop 469ft, I am wearing a Playboy bunny outfit, & taking part with an original Playboy bunny---my muma. I should also highlight i am not a BIG fan of heights, freezing with fear at the top could be likely. This could turn comical... hahaha
All fundraising activities make a profound difference.
Guys & St Thomas’ charity aim to ensure patients get the very best care possible in the best environment. With support they can invest in new services, improve the hospitals environment, & fund world-class research.
Without the help the charity has received in the past, they would not have been able to build & equip the Evelina Children’s Hospital, start work on the new cancer chemotherapy day unit, or fund the refurbishment of the respiratory unit. These are just some of the projects supporters have helped to achieve. The 2 areas I’d like to show my support for, are the Evelina Children’s Hospital & the Integrated Cancer Centre.
Making a difference:
By raising money for Guys & St Thomas’s hospitals, you can make an incredible difference to the lives of thousands of people every year. For example:
£10 could provide a comprehensive information pack for a newly diagnosed cancer patient
£30 could purchase a special gift for children staying in the hospital over Christmas
£50 could support our performing arts programme to give patients the chance to relax & be entertained
£100 could purchase gym & audio-visual equipment to provide physical therapy in the pain treatment unit
£1500 could buy a reclining day bed for teenagers receiving chemotherapy.
Sooo all that said... I have the confidence that my friends, colleagues, & family can help all do our bit towards ‘Making a difference’.
I am not buying/selling goodies, giving up chocolate, looking for the highest bidder, or throwing a quiz night, but I am abseiling 469ft down the side of Guys Tower in a bunny’s costume, with my EX Playboy mum.
All I ask from you is:
- To not take ridiculous pictures of my backside as it falls 469ft to the ground (there is a watching point opposite the tower with a great view, APPARANTLY!!!)
- Pls give me the heads up ‘if bum looks big in this...’
- To show your support through giving what you can to help me raise money for the Guys & St Thomas’ charity.
Two choices: you can either offload your shrapnel from the back of the sofa or from office desk draws to me in person, or donate quickly & easily online with a credit or debit card on this page.
Obviously both my mother & I are raising money for the Guy's & St Thomas' Charity, but personally I am torn between giving the total funds to the Evelina Children’s Hospital or the Integrated Cancer Centre alternatively funds could be divided. If you have a preference please feel free to inform me, as it will help my decision process.
