The Trussell Trust is a Christian charity which opened the first Foodbank in Salisbury in 1999. The range of opening hours means that there is at least one Distribution Centre open each day between Monday and Friday.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Bridgend Foodbank has been a lifeline for so many of our customers, not just during the pandemic but through individual crises and emergencies across the year. Since opening in 2009 its importance in the community has become increasingly apparent as incomes shrink and the resultant financial pressure pushes struggling families towards breaking point.

1 in 5 of the UK population is believed to live below the poverty line and last year Bridgend Foodbank provided 7,260 emergency food packages, feeding 1,794 children and 4,347 adults.

This emergency aid would not be possible without the generosity of the public who donate food and essential day to day items at supermarkets and other donation points. We know that the pressure on this volunteer led service will grow across the festive period and beyond, so we'd be incredibly grateful if you could contribute whatever you can afford to help the Foodbank to support those who need help the most.

The page will remain open into the new year so we can raise as much money as possible for those customers who will need help in 2021.

Thanks for your time and generosity.
