London Marathon 2017 · 23 April 2017 ·
As many of you will know my Dad, Richard Flockhart, passed away last year after fighting a brave battle against cancer. He was fortunate enough, however, to spend his final days in Greenwich and Bexley Hospice where the amazing staff provided the most wonderful care for him.
I've now decided to run the London Marathon to raise as much as I can for the Hospice as a way of saying thank you and in memory of my Dad. I will really appreciate any donation you can make, however large or small, to help support the fantastic work the Hospice does.
Greenwich & Bexley Community Hospice provides care and support to people with life limiting illness, their carers, families and friends in the London Boroughs of Greenwich & Bexley. The amazing staff work with people to get the most out of the time that they have, helping them to achieve independence, comfort and dignity. It's aim is to provide high quality care to enable people to achieve the best quality of care possible.
It costs around £19,200 per day (£7m per year) to provide Hospice services. With only just over a third of funding coming from the government, the rest is raised with the help of the community.
