Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm is dedicated to brightening children’s lives by providing unforgettable breaks and valuable learning experiences. We work with the most disadvantaged children in the city, offering respite from difficult home lives.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my page.

I come to you with a plea, please read the below and support me with whatever you can to help make difference to the lives of as many children as possible. Some of the things we take for granted may be an unimaginable luxury to these Children. You are in a position reading this to help change that, I mean would you miss that extra Starbucks/Costa or that quick pint after work? You get where I am going with this.. Even the smallest amount can make a huge difference.

So, if you want to donate please do... for your money you will get regular updates from me on here and  also get to see me throw myself over 25 obstacles across 12km  of land ( that has got to be worth a few ££`s) .

Leeds Children’s Charity, founded in 1904, provides free holidays for young people (aged between 7 and 11) who are from backgrounds of severe challenge and disadvantage in Leeds. Last year the charity worked with and supported its 60,500th child. All the young people the charity supports are identified as being the most in need children in the city.

The cards below, along with others, shows some of the pressures the young people we work with face or indicates the positive results of our work ( Leeds Children's Charity)

“In every case the children have come back enthusing about the experiences they have had. If I had not received this positive feedback, I would not have recommended children each year. Parents also have been very grateful that their children have been able to benefit from a holiday, when they could not afford to send them.   I have seen the benefits of the work you have been doing and I really hope that they can continue to provide this excellent facility for children in need.” Head
teacher.

“Every child enjoys their time with Leeds Children’s Charity. Confidence, raised self-esteem and increased independence are some of the benefits for the children and it must be lovely for them to spend some time where life is fun and calm.
Leeds Children’s Charity is a fantastic charity and hundreds of children
will look back on their holiday with fondness all their lives.” Head teacher.

"When dad died, the family was left in debt. Mum did her best, but with a young family to support the bills did not get paid and the family were evicted from their home. They lived for some time with relatives, but this situation became more and more difficult – the numbers in the house were simply too many. For a while the family were sofa surfing but have now found a flat. Mum is working really hard to manage the family, but a holiday is the last thing she can afford for the children. I fully support this application and I hope that the children can spend some time doing things that children should.
