Business leaders unite to fight homelessness, sleeping outdoors for one night alongside their peers, giving up the comfort of a warm bed to raise funds charities on the frontline of homelessness. CEO Sleepout events take place in cities across the UK. Will you join us?

Story

On Monday 13th October, we, David Barral (Aviva UK Life CEO) and Kevin Moss (Aviva UK Life Chief Operating Officer) will be sleeping outside under the famous Wembley arches with over 100 other like minded people from the business community as part of the first ever "CEO Sleepout London".  We are taking part to support the 80,000 young people in the UK who experience homelessness each year.

Every day Depaul UK supports hundreds of young people who are sleeping rough or who are living in unsafe environments.  For many, the cold comfort of sleeping on a night bus or committing a crime to spend a night in custody are survival tactics to keep them off the streets.  DePaul provides an alternative solution, safe supported accommodation and a new pathway out of homelessness through advocacy, guidance, education and training.

Whilst sleeping out for this one night does not compare to the reality for those people who face it day in and day out, the act of solidarity will help highlight the issue of poverty and raise desperately needed funds for homeless people in the UK.

We'd really appreciate every bit of support you can give us, no matter how big or small - homelessness and poverty should simply not exist in our society. Anything you can do today will help us move closer to giving all homeless and disadvantaged people the opportunity to fulfil their potential and move towards an independent and positive future.

Thank you very much,

David & Kevin
