Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On 5th February 2018 we sadly lost our friend and fellow Jersey scooterist Dave Farrar to cancer. Dave was a lovely, genuine man, liked and respected by everyone who met him and hugely missed by his Jersey scooter family. After a brave fight it was time for Dave to leave us and scoot up into Heaven.
For my 50th birthday in January Jo, Jessica and Bethany brought me a tandem skydive, something I had wanted to do for sometime. Just before Dave passed away, his friend Dave P. visited him in hospital and told him about the jump and asked him on my behalf what charity he like me to raise money for when I did the jump, he said he would like the money raised to go to Macmillan Cancer Support (Jersey).
So in memory of our friend Dave, on Sunday 29th July 2018, I am jumping out of a plane 2 miles up over Jersey. I shall be freefalling at 130mph for 30 seconds, I will then have a 5 minute parachute ride before I land (hopefully) at the Gunsite at St Aubins Bay.
So please give generously to this really worthwhile cause in memory of Dave.
