Well, it was fantastic weather and we made the full 25 miles in just under 4 hours.  It was really great to see Sadie and Thea's determination to do the whole route and even Esther did 5 miles! 

Thank all of you so much for your fantastic support.   You have together contributed over £700 to the work of the Mencap youth clubs and it will make a huge difference to the young people who enjoy them so much.

Why are we asking you to support Keynsham and District Mencap?  

Esther has been going to their Tuesday and Saturday youth clubs for the last 18 months and they have made an amazing difference to her life.  Social opportunities for young people with learning difficulties are very rare and the clubs give Esther the chance to have an independent social life with her friends.  The clubs also run day trips and residential camps - all staffed by fantastic volunteers.

As a small charity, Keynsham and District Mencap is obviously very dependent on donations and fundraising activities .  This event was a great success last year and raised over £4,000 of much needed funding for our clubs.

This year our target is to double that success and Sadie and I are hoping to raise £500 towards the total.  Please will YOU help us to achieve our goal?
