My name is Spencer and I am 6.  I decided to raise money by climbing up and down Mount Everest on my stairs.  Mum says that it was a bit far, 4467 times up  and down.

So I asked some friends to help me and see if we could do the distance between us.  Our team is Sam, Harry, Jack T, Evie, Jack A, Mikey, Logan, Dylan, Nora, Izzy, Xan, Max and me, Spencer.  We are all between 6 and 8 years old.  We have some smaller brothers and sisters cheering us on as well; Evangeline, Erin, Luke and Samuel who are all going to try some climbing too.

We are going to start on the 24th of April. We are hoping to do the 8848m up, and 8848m back down again over 3 days (ending on Sunday 26th of April).  Each of us will have to climb around 350 times up and down our stairs to help get all the way there and back. 

My mum, Helen, works for Missing People, and I know she helps people to be safe and to talk about why they are worried.  I know that some children run away and go missing because they aren't safe in their home.  She told me that it was hard now because people need help more than ever and the charity don't have enough money to help everyone.
