LimbPower Kilimanjaro Trek · 3 October 2019
Every year I try to take on a fundraising challenge for LimbPower to raise invaluable funds to support people with limb loss and limb difference to rebuild their lives through the power of physical, social and psychological rehabilitation. Every year it is getting more difficult as fundraising becomes harder and my body ages and developes new complications. However, if it wasn't hard and it wasn't a challenge I couldn't ask you to support me now could I.
So here I go again. This one is going to be tough, so it is vital that I get fit and build by strength. So back to the gym and daily walks for me when I can.
Being disabled in England today is not easy, benefits are harder to access, the cost of living is more expensive if you have a disability and accessing the right equipment can be difficult. We face many barriers, but with time and support we can overcome them. Rehabilitation is not a straight path, their are setbacks, challenges, heartache and laughs. For me these challenges keep me on the straight and narrow, maintaining my fitness whilst supporting other on their journeys. So thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, it means a lot. Please only donate what you can.
