Late last year I was contacted by a life long friend telling me that he had lost his Grandmother to Cancer and that he would like to raise some money to support Macmillan in all that they do. I felt I should set myself a challenge! Over the last 3 years cycling has become my go to for relaxing so this seemed the obvious choice but how to make it harder was the next question? After a little time I came up with the idea of riding from John O'Groats to Lands End completely unsupported. This will mean over a thousand miles of just me, my bike, limited camping equipment and hopefully some nice hedges as a bed for the night.

After mentioning it to Andy Rimmer the Landlord of my local pub, The Hatherley, Cheltenham and him explaining the commitment that Greene King have shown toward Macmillan in fundraising over the last few years we have become partners in fundraising and have a joint aim to raise as much as we can for this fantastic charity during their Macmillan May.
