I have been a volunteer for Girlguiding for over 10 years, a short time by some, with some great leaders in a unit of Guides. I have enjoyed every moment and been privileged to work with some wonderful young members to gain skills to take them into adulthood.

I was offered the chance to join a team of leaders to take 18 young members aged between 12 and 18 to India. Very briefly we will be staying at Sangam world centre for a week, attending one their events and attending a service project. We will then visit some sites of Goa and Kerula for about 2 weeks.

This will be an exciting trip but will prove to have its challenges for all of us. I am fundraising for this trip alongside three Guides from our unit so we can share the whole experience together.
