Ali and I are attempting our 3rd Ironman, this time in Zurich, Switzerland. We have been training for a year in all sorts of weather, and hope to raise lots of money for Heartswell.

We have chosen this charity because we have both been indirectly affected by heart disease. My dad had a heart attack some years ago, and only last year Ali's step dad had a massive cardiac arrest while running on the treadmill. Neither of them were typical candidates for a heart attack, they were both very active and healthy 'young' men. Luckily they are both now fighting fit, but their heart attacks had a lasting impact on both men and their families. 

Heartswell is a wonderful, small charity who not only support heart patients, but their families and carers as well. Every penny matters!
