The children and staff at Kingsmead Day Nursery in Winchester are coming together to help the animals at Marwell Zoo with its Safari Summer Week fundraiser.

We always try to inspire the children at Kingsmead to understand and care for the natural world in our community, which is why they are very excited to be involved in helping the animals at Marwell.

The Safari Summer Week will take place from 29 June - 1 July and will involve:

• 29 June: May the best dressed… raise the most money! The children go wild with an animal parade and picnic.

• 30 June: Slow and steady doesn’t always win the race as the children get competitive on Safari Sports Day.

• 1 July: A totally roarsome cake sale.

The Wildlife Charity at Marwell Zoo is facing the most challenging time in its nearly 50 year history due to the Covid-19 pandemic. It needs our support more than ever to help care for the animals and ensure future generations can experience the joy of coming to the zoo. The charity relies solely on income from the zoo and the fundraising efforts of its loyal supporters.
