Newbury Soup Kitchen hold drop in sessions feeding the rough sleepers, homeless & vulnerable in our area. Providing all round support. Working to expand into a building of our own to open all week. We help support where we can to improve people's lives & situation. Giving people back their dignity.

Story

In Jan 2017 Meryl set up Newbury Soup Kitchen.  It is a voluntary organisation providing help and support to the local homeless, rough sleeper community and those less fortunate. The primary operation is to expand into a friendly drop-in centre for vulnerable adults who perhaps have mental health issues or just lonely. All are greeted with hot food, outreach and advocacy on different sessions throughout the week. HAVEN (West Berkshire) has been set up by Meryl to expand into a Community Support Centre.

Kintbury St Mary's School are raising money for Newbury Soup Kitchen, after the children voted to support it as the chosen charity for 2021/22. A group of Year 6 children are embarking on a gruelling 17km walk starting in Kintbury, which will take in ancient healthland, woods and downs. Starting in Kintbury, the walk takes in inkpen Common and Combe Gibbet.

Thank you for supporting the children to raise vital funds for this wonderful local cause!
