Nila & I trekked in the Lake District on Friday 6th November to raise invaluable funds for the The Institute of Cancer Research. It rained all day during our 7 hour trek and conditions at the top were foggy and windy. The route was made more challenging due to the sheer amount of water - having to walk through boggy patches and rocks we were clambering down on were slippy and trifle dangerous. A couple of twisted ankles did not help matters. We trek during November just to test ourselves - however our test is nothing in comparison to the pain for cancer sufferers and the grief of the immediate families.
