Having recently lost my uncle and a Dear family friend within 3 days of each other to Cancer. I am joining a team of Cancer Slayers in doing a Tough Mudder Event in Henley on May 3rd 2015. It's one of the planets toughest events. The course, 12+ miles over rough terrain with 25-30 hard-core obstacles consisting of 18ft + walls to get over! river crossings! Shocking Ice pools, not to mention 10,000 volts of electric shock and running through barbed wire and fire.

However, nothing compares to the suffering or pain people fighting cancer go through with chemo and the medications. Everyone seems to have  lost someone close to them, be it a dad, a husband, a brother, a family member or very close friend. We all know someone or have witnessed or heard about the day to day struggles and stress it places on individuals, families or friends. I want to help bring this suffering to an end and therefore in honour of those I loved and lost, and those around still bravely fighting it, I have decided to also brave the pain and help raise money to fight back by taking on the tough Mudder challenge.
