Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have always wanted to run the London Marathon before my 30th birthday and running it to raise money for a worthwhile cause has made the incentive even bigger.
Having trained and worked as a therapy radiographer at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre I took the plunge and moved to Essex where I worked at Queens radiotherapy department in Romford for a year. I have recently taken on a new role working in London for a company dedicated to developing new ways of tracking patient motion during radiotherapy treatment.
Along with new and exciting challenges at work I am working hard training for the London Marathon to raise as much money as I can for Orchid. Here's some information about orchid...
Orchid exists to save men's lives from testicular, prostate and penile cancers through pioneering research and promoting awareness.
37,000 men will be diagnosed with a male-specific cancer in 2010; from sons to grandfathers, men face the risk of prostate, penile or testicular cancer. Orchid plays a leading role in the fight against male cancer through research and awareness and by supporting patients.
Be male cancer aware! The Orchid website has all the latest information, so please don't delay in getting 'checked out' by a GP if you are concerned.
