On a personal level, I want to jog as much of the 5K as possible and preferably all of it.  Jogging has never been one of life's pleasures for me so if you sponsor me, this will give me the motivation to keep going.

I have known victims of various cancers, some of whom have survived and are living a great life today.  Others could not win this battle.  

I'm pleased to say this race falls at a very joyful time for my family as my Uncle Tommy has recently received positive results following radiotherapy for prostate cancer.  I'm thankful for his recovery and I'm dedicating this race to him.

If you sponsor me, more families may have more of a chance of experiencing the joy of knowing that someone they love is able to know life beyond cancer.
