Hello.
This is my amazing mum, Paula…who, three years ago, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis; which turned our worlds upside down. Seeing someone so very close go through daily struggles to fight the auto immune disease is a bitter pill to swallow and with this said, I have decided to start this just giving page for the ‘MS Therapy Centre (NW)’. The centre is a non-profitable charity/centre which we visit every week just a stone’s throw away from Trafford Park.
The Donations for the A- Linker
The funds you donate will go towards a forward-thinking piece of equipment the A-linker Bike for the centre, which will be available for people to use on site and in physiotherapy sessions. The A-Linker is a ‘radically different walking bike’ meaning it can be used without one having to lift their legs over a middle frame. They can sit on it legs parted from a standing position making it easier for people with mobility issues. The frame is sturdy and it has three wheels thus, providing more stability than a generic bike. The Alinker is a real ‘game changer’; enabling people with mobility issues to regain their independence, promote freedom and encourage good wellbeing. Please take a look at the website https://www.thealinker.com/ I’m sure you will agree it looks remarkable!
The Fundraising Challenge
I will be taking on a series of Runs through from February to May starting with 10k’s and on to a half marathon with my reliable other half John. Finally, I will finish on a solo run which will certainly be my nemesis in May…..The Bolton Marathon (my first)...all 26.2 miles of hills and more hills!
Training has started and has been somewhat gruelling to say the least, I am ultimately pushing my overall fitness along with mental strength. However, in comparison to those living with MS…it just doesn’t compare.
I welcome your support in helping me raise as much as possible to help those with MS through this worthy cause that provides people with an abundance of support and guidance throughout the unpredictable journey of MS.
Best Wishes & Thankyou for your support.

Little Update:- As Bolton Marathon was postponed due to circumstances in 2020, and then later cancelled completely in 2021 I have set a new challenge which will be the Blackpool Bike Ride. Will share some pics once the challenge has been completed.
Today 9th of July was the Blackpool Bike Ride. We thankfully were ahead of the thunderstorm and got to the finish line! Thankyou to everyone who has donated and supported this non profit organisation.
