I'm joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life this year......twice, I'm getting all muddy with my sis' babes for Pretty Muddy because we both faced the heart breaking tragedy of the agonising illness and loss of our much loved and needed mum in our twenties. Mum would've laughed out loud at our efforts but would have applauded us considering she lost one of her sisters at the age of 36 and her father to this shitty disease. Another of her sisters had also battled it twice.
I will also run the Race For Life 10k on the Sunday after Pretty Muddy, in quiet contemplation of the life cancer has left those behind with, it's not pretty, 9 out of 10 of me and my cousins on my mum's side have lost our mums to cancer before the age of 30. The remaining cousin has seen his mum battle it twice. Cancer is shit, it really is and it needs putting in it's place. There are those also who are still battling, children and adults who deserve a life free of cancer. Anything that can be done to help them is worth it. Please help.
Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring me - it's quick, easy and totally secure.
