I’m running the marathon for the NDCS to say thank you for the support they’ve given our family and so they can continue the amazing work they do to support other deaf children and their families. 

Many of you know that our younger daughter Freya was born profoundly deaf. The NDCS have been there every step of the way, from newborn diagnosis, through helping us make decisions about early signing and communication, the big decision about whether to proceed with a cochlear implant operation, and advising us on what to look for in choosing a suitable nursery and school. We are eternally grateful to the kind people there who have listened patiently to our concerns, given their advice freely and helped us make connections with other families in the same situation.
