I'm attempting to run the Manchester 10k run to raise money and most importantly, raise awareness for testicular cancer. Just over a year ago, my boyfriend, Conlan, was diagnosed with testicular cancer when he was 19. This came as a great shock to us and was a shocking and devastating time. However, we have worked/ are still working through it.

I'm raising money for Ballboys as they focus on raising awareness around testicular cancer to all. I wish we would have known about charities like this around the time to get Conlan checked sooner. It is really important to me to help others know about testicular cancer so that others don't have to go through the same thing. Any donations would be greatly appreciated no matter how small. The most important thing that I'm trying to achieve is just raise awareness to all young males and encourage them to check. 

I'm not really a long distance runner as I usually prefer TV and carbs but the  motivation to help others not go through what we have gone through is making me get up and run!
