a Charity Challenge organised by Discover Adventure · 31 December 2012 ·

The mission of Nelson’s Journey is to increase the self-esteem, self-belief and wellbeing of bereaved children in Norfolk, by enabling families and wider society to talk openly about death and bereavement, and for children to express and understand emotions.

Story

First of all thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I will be challenging my own limits by setting myself the goal to reach the top of Ben Nevis! Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK, a whopping 1343m above sea level! I don't know what's worse climbing the Ben Nevis or travelling all the way to Scotland from Norwich! The most important thing to remember is it is for a truly amazing charity - Nelson's Journey.

Nelson's Journey is a charity based in Norwich that supports bereaved children, I have experienced what a fantastic charity it is first-hand through volunteering on the therapeutic residential weekend camps. On camp the children come to remember the special person that has died, they also have the chance to meet other bereaved children. The weekend is also jam-packed full of activities including the anger wall and outdoor activities such as the climbing wall.

So please be generous, dig deep and donate now. The support they provide for bereaved children is second to none!

Thank you
