On the 21st of March 2017, I and 9 other students in Edinburgh will be setting off on a 10 day Arctic Expedition in Eastern Greenland with The Polar Academy. We will be cross country skiing across unnamed mountains and sea ice in Eastern Greenland following setting off from Tasiilaq. The Polar Academy is an incredible Edinburgh based charity which takes teenagers from a variety of backgrounds and challenges them to do the impossible. On return participants of the Polar Academy will give talks to at least 3000 pupils inspiring them to challenge their comfort zones and realise their potential. Therefore creating positive role models for their communities,their families and most importantly themselves.
