Vitality Liverpool half marathon · 2 April 2017 ·

Our consultant-led team of doctors, nurses and other professional staff provide expert care and support for local people with terminal or life-limiting illnesses and their families, in the hospice and at home.

Story

I have been training as part of a weight loss/fitness journey for the past 18 months.  It has been challenging at times, with sacrifices made to losing invaluable family time.

I train 6 days a week at my local gym (and on the roads of Wigan!) and have reaped huge rewards by improving my health and making lots of friends along the way.  As I have grown stronger and fitter, I wanted to push myself further and try a half marathon.  I am not greatly comfortable with this distance however I am strong willed and fully intend to get to the finish line - regardless of a notable finishing time.

I won't lie and will openly admit Im really apprehensive about the whole race but with support from my friends and family, it will give me a real confidence boost before the big day on April 2nd, 2017.

The support, of which, will also help benefit Bolton Hospice; a charity with which my employers, at Bolton Kia support, too.

Just £1 will make such a difference to this wonderful charity - your generosity is much appreciated.
