Volunteering at the clinic · 7 January 2017

The Friendship Clinic (UK) provides funding to help towards: the relief of poverty, sickness and distress, earthquake relief, supply of fresh water and sanitation, preventative medicine with health and medical education. This is through the provision of a clinic in Meghauli, in southwest Nepal.

Story

Soon, I will embark on a solo trip to Nepal. Part of my trip will be spent volunteering at the Friendship Clinic in Chitwan Province. Being an OT, I have been asked to provide guidance around developmental disorders, and other Diagnosis that we take for granted in the UK, among supporting with other ventures. The Friendship Clinic has many projects benefiting villages around Nepal. If you can spare anything I would be grateful, am not doing this through a company and so 100% of what is raised will go directly to providing goats, vaccinations, building materials, etc!

If you are sadistic, and need to see blood, sweat and tears for your donation, I will be hopefully trekking to Annapurna base camp  (providing winter weather conditions are not too bad) and then Luke will join me hopefully for a walk from Jiri to Everest base camp later on. We are not going easy and flying into Lukla, we are actually starting the trek where Hillary and Tenzing did, much lower down the  valley. Again, we are not doing any of this through anyone.
