Story
Rob, Jordan, Jamie and Jono will be competing in the London
South Tough Mudder 10km Obstacle Course on Sunday 25th September.
Sprung from a text group, we have decided that we were keen
to help contribute towards a charity that is close to our hearts. Having all
attended the John Henry Newman School, the charity has been part of our lives
for a few years now.
We have decided to set ourselves the challenge of completing
the course as well as raising money for Kiss. Everywhere in the world is going
through tough times but sadly the impact is felt more upon vulnerable
communities.
We appreciate that we are all in different and challenging
circumstances at the moment, so only if you can, we would be grateful for any
donations you may be able to make.
What do KiSS do?
KiSS has been working to support communities in Uganda for
25 years and in that time, have transformed the lives of thousands of children
and families in accessing education, healthcare, food and basic care.
Whilst this remains KiSS’s core work, their wider engagement
work with the families of KiSS and working to build a better community has also
enabled the development of two new Ugandan-led projects; The Agriculture
Project and the Village Savings and Loans Associations (VSLA’s). The KiSS
Uganda team and parents of KiSS are the driving force behind these two projects
and are excelling the charity on to becoming more self-sufficient.
