Hellooo!
So my amazing friend Flo had the brilliant idea to jump out of a plane to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice in October (despite being scared of heights)!!
Me being me, of course decided it would be an even better idea to jump right alongside her...
All jokes aside, Flo’s dad, my grandma & uncle have all spent time in hospices during the final weeks of their lives.
As corny as it sounds, hospices are often the unsung heroes where even in the darkest times, they act as a ray of light for the whole family (not just the person staying there). However, most are still self funded and have little to no government funding.
Even though I’ve worked in a hospice myself, nothing can quite prepare you for that time and I know first hand how much time, work and money is needed to be able to keep things running.
The teams that work there are some of the most amazing and inspiring people you will ever meet and the amount of care and warmth they show you is honestly humbling.
No words will ever be able to express the gratitude we have towards those people, so we figured jumping out of a plane would be the next best thing!
The dive itself has already been paid for separately so anything you donate will be going straight to St Luke’s - so please please give as much as you can (as Tesco would say...every little helps)!!!
