Save the KQZ Institute

Save the KQZ Institute · 14 March 2016
The KQZ Institute is a non-profit, knowledge based Institute, which holds courses, seminars, conferences, retreats, interfaith and community events. The Institute is run by a small number of volunteers. Over the years we have accumulated a debt due to running costs. Costs include renting and hiring of premises, production/distribution of course materials and teacher’s wages.
In the past the trustees have managed to maintain running costs. However due to personal circumstances this is now becoming very difficult. Today we turn to you out of desperation to help us save the Institute from closing down and to help continue spreading sacred knowledge. Without your support we will no longer be able to provide the platform to teach, hence depriving the community of essential, obligatory, personal knowledge.
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire.”
The primary objective of the Institute is to provide traditional Islamic knowledge in a way that is accessible in modern life.
We are currently providing a weekly ‘Essentials to Islam’ course (one year duration) which teaches jurisprudence, belief, hadith and tafsir. We’re also running a monthly class on implementing Prophetic character (one year duration). These courses currently cater for around 100 students, taught by traditionally trained, renowned scholars. As well as education and communal projects the Institute have also managed to raise thousands of pounds for many charitable causes around the world.
