On the morning of 19th May 2017 my wonderful husband, Kris Tebbs, lost a hard-fought but desperately short battle with a terrible disease called Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH). We lost him just three weeks after he was diagnosed with this condition, which really had struck him completely out of the blue. 

Kris was just 34, a new father to our beautiful 7 month daughter and a human Daddy to our dog, Harley, both of which he adored endlessly. 

I couldn't possibly put into words just what a fantastic human being Kris was, and many of his friends and family have done a far greater job than I possibly could in expressing how kind, caring, thoughtful, intelligent, talented and ridiculously funny my man was.

The hole left in all our lives by Kris is immeasurable and life without him unthinkable. Even now, it's impossible to accept that within just 7 weeks, Kris went from a healthy 34 year old, going about his normal life, to fighting for his life in hospital.

You probably haven't heard of this disease before; I certainly had not prior to Kris' diagnosis. But it's a real tough one to fight and can make the journey for the affected a really hard one. 

In memory of Kris, I have set up this page to raise funds for the Charity "Histiocytosis UK". This Charity aims to fund research into this dreadful illness, with a view to providing early diagnosis and effective treatment.
