So, I've wanted to do this for a long time, and finally I've made this page. I am cutting 12 inches, or more, off my hair. It seems pretty measly, but I reckon any amount can make a difference. Although my hair is going to The Little Princess's trust, I wanted to raise money for another worthwhile charity: The World Food Programme. 

This charity is very important as there are too many people in this world who do not have enough food to live a sufficient healthy lifestyle. Around 805 Million People in the world, do not have enough to eat. That's 1 in 9 people, and the majority of these people live in developing countries, where 13.5% of the population is undernourished, and I think that that's too much. Poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five. That's 3.1 million each year.

This charity not only helps with food, but it supports people with HIV/AIDs. It plays a vital role in reducing the harmful effects of HIV, TB, food insecurity and malnutrition. As it is cost effective, it enables treatment, which reduces mortality, and promotes nutritional recovery. It also acts as a social safety net for populations that have felt the economic and social effects of HIV and TB.
