Guy's Hospital Tower Abseil 2010 Day1 · 16 May 2010 ·
Hi Everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On the 16th May 2010, we are doing a 500ft abseil down the tower at Guy's Hospital. It is going to be the last abseil down the tower. Please help us in helping the Myasthenia Gravis Asociation.
The Myasthenia Gravis Association (MGA). Myathenia Gravis (MG) is an auto-immune disease characterised by fluctuating, sometimes fatal muscle weakness. Activities that we take for granted - smiling, eating, talking and using our limbs, can be extremely difficult for people with MG (known as 'myasthenics'). MG can affect anyone, at any age. It is a life changing and often debilitating illness.
MGA funds research, care and education and offer a lifeline to people suffering with this rare and often very misunderstood condition.
We are both a bit nervous about the abseil (well, just Brian, haha, jk) but thought it would be a wonderful opportunity to support a charity that relies entirely upon the support of the public - which is each and everyone one of US!
We are holding a charity BBQ on the 15th May. It is 10 pounds a person for food/drink. We are also having a silent auction for some pretty cool American goodie baskets and playing tons of games (you lose, you pay!). However, if you aren't able to make it to the BBQ (or live in a different country), you can still help support MGA and our abseil by contributing on here! We will post pictures from the BBQ and the Abseil.
Thank you sooooo much for all your support. Please dig deep and donate!!!!
