I'm raising money for the Wilson School so future students may participate in the Civil Rights trip experience. Understanding information from multiple perspectives is the key to critical thinking and empathy. The Civil Rights unit culminates in a trip to Little Rock, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee. Students walk the footsteps of history, at places such as Little Rock High School, where the Little Rock Nine attended school, and the Lorraine Motel, home of the Civil Rights Museum, while engaging in deep meaningful analysis and reflection. This trip is near and dear to my heart and has had a significant impact on both me and my children. I hope you join me in raising funds so future students may experience this valuable and important program. Each person makes a difference.
