It was hard, hot, humid....did I mention it was HARD!

From 18th to 20th November The Truants (of which I am one) cycled just under 200km in the Yucatan peninsula, Mexico in two and a half days.... sounds easy as I type now but when the mercury hit 37 degrees, no breeze existed and the thunderstorms we were promised to help cool us down turned out to be three individual drops of precipitation - which I may have just imagined - It was tough!

But still we did it! There were bumps, cuts, falls and, yes - passing out.... but the reason for doing the ride was never lost - our camaraderie and the joshing that got most of us through masked our true cause which really gave us the focus and determination needed to keep peddling - to help three wonderful charities.

And again I will do my best to raise money for Childline, Teenage Cancer Trust and Norrdoff Robbins. These charities focus on children who are or have had to deal with things that us adults find hard enough but their ability to keep going, stay positive and beat their personal challenges is what drives me on to peddle when the going gets a little tough on the bike. Soooo if you can, please to chip in, even a few pounds.... ALL WILL go to the charities directly.
