On the 14th of September 2017, our beautiful daughter Holly was born 14 weeks early at 26 weeks.

This was completely unexpected and turned our lives upside down. We did not know what to expect after the arrival of Holly and I can honestly say it was one of the scariest times of my life.

Holly was a fighter from day one and I am truly amazed by her strength and courage, but without the help and devotion from all the staff on the Neonatal intensive care unit, Holly would not be with us today.

Holly came home on New Year’s Eve after spending 15 weeks in Hospital. Holly is now almost 6 and is doing amazing, growing and learning every day. Her strength and determination continues to shine through today with her competitive personality. 

I truly thank all of the amazing staff from the bottom of my heart and will be forever grateful.

This is why we will be doing the Yorkshire 3 peaks and the Welsh 3000 challenge aiming to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic charity, Friends of the baby unit.

The Challenge is to complete the Yorkshire 3 peaks in 12 hours and the Welsh 3000 (15 peaks) in 24 hours.

All donations will go straight towards the unit, who are looking to fund a new parent room ( £8k ) and 24 Neopuff machines ( £24k ) which will help to save the lives of so many more preterm babies.
